Carpenter / Qualified Builder Homeland Construction | Auckland, New ZealandBuild Quality Homes and Residential ProjectsHomeland Construction is seeking an experienced Carpenter / Qualified Builder to join its growing construction team. This hands-on role involves working on new home builds, renovations, recladding projects, and residential developments across Auckland, delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining compliance with New Zealand building standards. What You'll Do? Construction & Building WorkConstruct timber framing, walls, floors, and roofing systems.Install doors, windows, staircases, and cabinetry.Carry out residential renovations, extensions, and building upgrades.Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications. Finishing & InstallationInstall interior and exterior cladding systems.Fit skirting boards, architraves, trims, and finishing components.Build decking, fencing, and outdoor structures.Ensure high standards of workmanship and attention to detail. Measurement & PlanningMeasure, cut, and assemble building materials accurately.Calculate material requirements and minimise waste.Ensure work is completed according to project schedules and plans.Identify and resolve on-site construction challenges. Site Safety & TeamworkFollow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.Ensure compliance with the New Zealand Building Code and regulations.Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas safely.Collaborate with site supervisors, project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers.Support apprentices and junior team members when required. What We're Looking For?Trade qualification in Carpentry or Building.Proven experience in residential construction.Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.Strong knowledge of building methods, materials, and industry practices.Excellent practical skills and problem-solving ability.Strong work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship. Desirable SkillsNew Zealand Certificate in Carpentry (Level 4).Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) status.Experience with renovations and recladding projects.Full New Zealand Driver’s Licence.First Aid certification.
