Job Description:
Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity Do you want to be a part of one of the most significant changes to affect the prescribing, administering and supply of medicines? Do you have an inquisitive mind? Do you want to improve the current way of doing things and make a difference to patient safety? We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative pharmacist with great problem-solving and communication skills to work as an Informatics pharmacist within our Medicines Governance team. You will join a team of 10 pharmacists and a technician reporting to the Clinical Lead Pharmacist, Medicines Governance and Informatics. This is a great opportunity to learn and contribute to the ever evolving field of health informatics, leading medication safety initiatives and improving efficiencies within healthcare. Te Toka Tumai is committed to safe medication practices within its organisation. This full time fixed term (1 year) position will provide you the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge and work with a variety of eMedicines Management solutions within the Medicines Governance service. The position engages extensively internally within the pharmacy department and externally with the multiple stakeholders of Te Toka Tumai requiring the successful candidate to be an effective communicator, a quick learner and a strong team player.   • Applicants must hold a current APC with the Pharmacy Council of NZ or be eligible to obtain one.
  • You’ll be a pharmacist with at least 2- 3 years post-registration hospital experience and an interest in Medication Safety and the use of technology we want to hear from you.
  • Prior experience with the MedChart and ePharmacy systems is advantageous.
