The Elms Surgery are seeking an experienced, motivated, and highly organised
Registered CQC Manager to join our friendly and forward-thinking GP surgery. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in ensuring our practice delivers safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led services while maintaining full compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.As our Registered CQC Manager, you will be the nominated Registered Manager with the CQC and will lead on quality assurance, governance, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across the practice.If you are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care through strong leadership, governance, and compliance, we would love to hear from you.
About the RoleYou will work closely with the Partners, Admin Manager, Operations Lead, and clinical and administrative teams to ensure the practice consistently meets and exceeds regulatory standards.Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the Registered Manager with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
- Leading the practice's CQC compliance programme and maintaining inspection readiness.
- Developing and embedding robust governance and quality assurance systems.
- Managing clinical governance, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Leading investigations into incidents, significant events, and safeguarding concerns.
- Maintaining the practice risk register and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Coordinating audits and ensuring improvements are implemented.
- Reviewing and updating practice policies and procedures.
- Monitoring mandatory training and regulatory compliance.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, patient safety, and learning throughout the practice.
About YouWe are looking for someone who has:
- Experience working within a GP practice or Primary Care setting.
- Previous experience managing CQC compliance and inspections.
- Excellent knowledge of the CQC Fundamental Standards and NHS Primary Care regulations.
- Experience in clinical governance, quality improvement, and risk management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Experience leading audits, investigations, and policy development.
- The ability to work independently while building positive relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent IT skills and experience using Microsoft Office and GP clinical systems.
Desirable- Management qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience as a CQC Registered Manager.
- Knowledge of Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF), infection prevention and control, safeguarding, and information governance.
