Ben Thomas Panelbeating, Hawera was established in 1990 and remains a strong presence in South Taranaki. The business is an approved repair facility with all major insurance companies. We have excellent, up-to-date equipment and tidy facilities, and are also I-CAR Gold-accredited. The type of work is predominantly clean collision repair work. This job is in Hawera, Taranaki. A smaller rural town of 10,000 where the housing is more affordable and your daily commute is stress-free. We can also assist with relocation if required. The main responsibilities of this role are: Structural repairs, removing and replacing of parts, minor accident repairs (A more detailed job description is available on request). Skills & Experience Required: • Relevant Trade Certificate • 5+ years’ experience working as an automotive Panelbeater • Proficient in structural repair and finishing, including filling experience • I-Car welding qualifications and experience with electronic Car-O-Liner systems would be advantageous (experience with straightening equipment other than Car-O-Liner is acceptable) • Able to work well independently and in a team environment • A strong work ethic • Attention to detail • Willingness to upskill and learn new techniques and embrace new technology We are committed to investing in our staff, maintaining a clean environment, and pride ourselves on being a leading provider. Wage rates are between $35 and $40 gross per hour. Hours of work are 40 hours per week, guaranteed, and are worked between Monday and Friday. This is a permanent full-time position.
