The role involves managing all aspects of kitchen operations including budgets, staffing, menus and meal preparation.This role has multiple positions available and the salary range is $70K to $80K per annum + Superannuation. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Organize and implement food service
  • Plan and implement daily food preparation lists for effective production
  • Following all safe work procedure
  • Implement and oversee the training of catering staff
  • Is accountable and works closely with the facility manager on day-to-day activities.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance in relation to Work Health and Safety, in accordance with Roshana Group’s safety policies and practices
  • Acknowledges and communicates clearly too all service consumers, visitors, visiting medical officers, allied health professionals, and staff in order to provide a friendly welcoming environment.

Desirable Skills, Attributes and Experience Essential
  • At least 2 to 3 years’ experience in managing food preparation and cooking for large numbers of people.
  • Strong knowledge and experience regarding culinary skills and relevant food trends.
  • Strong previous experience in managing a kitchen and leading a team.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to perform under a high pressure environment.
  • Must hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
  • Must hold a Food Safety Supervisors Certificate.
  • Current National Police Certificate and assessment against requirements of the Aged Care Act.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and serve a wide range of stakeholders and customers.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in IT applications relevant to the role.
