  • Graduation from an accredited school of Physical Therapist Assistant (required)
  • Active Massachusetts PTA license in good standing
  • Experience with Net Health preferred

Position Overview The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides skilled therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role focuses on helping residents improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall quality of life in a compassionate and professional setting. Key Responsibilities Resident Care
  • Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve mobility, and promote healing.
  • Provide skilled therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT).
  • Implement and modify treatment plans as directed by the PT.
  • Measure and document patient strength, balance, and functional progress.
  • Monitor and report patient responses to therapy interventions.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (IDT) to ensure optimal care outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Maintain thorough and timely clinical documentation in accordance with company, state, and federal guidelines.

Training & Education
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences.
  • Provide training and guidance to Restorative Nursing and care staff.
  • Educate residents, caregivers, and community partners on therapy programs and exercises.
  • Support PTA student development and educational programs.
  • Maintain compliance with all required education, training, and competency standards.
