Medical - Doctor - Mt Hutt

LETS TALK Mt Hutt is looking to employ a Doctor for our Ski Area Medical Room. We are looking for experienced Doctors to join our Crew here at Mt Hutt for the upcoming 2026 season. The position runs from June to October. The Ski Area Doctor will provide medical treatment for guests and staff on-site (both paediatric and adult trauma cases) at our Ski Area Medical Centre. You will be required to provide front line medical care. At Mt Hutt we are a truly united team - and this is testament to why we've won the title of NZ's Best Ski Area 10 years in a row! Our authentic and inclusive team are willing to go the extra mile - whether it be assisting guests with general queries or helping another department, we are renowned for rolling up our sleeves up and mucking in wherever required. We're looking for people who: * have four years of post-grad experience, with a mandatory minimum of 6 months in emergency medicine experience * are a genuine good human beings * hold Core Advanced Certificate (issued within the past 3 years) * have comprehensive knowledge of accident and emergency triage * might have orthopaedic, sport injuries and anaesthetic experience (valuable, not essential) * have previous Medical Practise management skills (would be an asset) * holds a current annual practicing certificate * holds current medical indemnity insurance * has knowledge of the New Zealand Health System, particularly ACC * must be comfortable working in an alpine environment in a variety of weather conditions * good knowledge of ski area snow conditions, and the ability to ski or snowboard in all weather is an advantage, however not a requirement If applying overseas you must be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand, or eligible for registration to practice as a GP.
