Job Title: M&A Associate Reports to: Senior Partners/Pooled system
A highly reputable UK law firm is seeking a high-performing M&A Associate to join the team. As an Associate in this newly created role, you will work on a broad spectrum of corporate matters including private M&A, complex joint ventures, disposals and corporate restructurings, private equity and venture capital investments. This role also offers a unique opportunity for overseas candidates to relocate to Singapore.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, execution, and completion of M&A transactions
- Conduct due diligence, review and analyze documents, and draft transaction documents
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and provide excellent client service
- Stay up-to-date with market developments, trends, and regulatory changes
- Contribute to the development of the firm's M&A practice through marketing, business development, and knowledge sharing initiatives
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of post-qualification experience in M&A law
- Qualified to the UK/US/NZ/AUS/SG Bar
- Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
- Strong team player with a collaborative and collegiate approach
- Private equity experience is desirable but not essential
