Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations
- Supervise, train and mentor kitchen staff
- Ensure consistent food quality, presentation and portion control
- Assist with menu planning and seasonal menu development
- Monitor stock levels, ordering and inventory control
- Minimise food waste and maintain cost control
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety, HACCP and WHS standards
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment
- Assist with rostering and kitchen administration when required
About You
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef
- Relevant Commercial Cookery qualification
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience working in high-volume restaurants, hotels, resorts or fine dining establishments
- Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining exceptional quality
- Passion for mentoring and developing kitchen teams
