Shire Healthcare are working with a reputable and leading provider of specialist care and education recruiting for a Counsellor to be based in South Cumbria. About the employer: This employer is an independent leading provider of specialist care and education. They work with children and young people in either an educational and/or residential setting who present a complexity of needs including developmental trauma, neuro-developmental conditions, autism, ADHD, and special educational needs. Role snapshot: The candidate appointed be joining an MDT who work with pupils and residents (5-19 yrs old). This role will be based across specialist schools, children’s homes and integrated provisions. This specific role is based within a school who are Ofsted rated as Good provider. The post holder will be working across care and educational settings helping to develop trauma informed practice. Contract type – permanent (52 week working) Hours – full time only Term time salary - £43,500 - £52,500 FTE Experience required: Candidates applying will have HCPC registration or BACP accreditation along with experience working with young people who present with neurodevelopmental needs such as Autism, SEMH, ADHD and learning disabilities.
