Global Product Line Manager to join our team. Reporting to our Chief Innovation Officer, this role will drive the specialty PET polymer business growth within the food-beverage, cosmetics, medical/pharma, appliances, and engineering resins markets. This cross functional role will be working in a matrix organization comprised of sales, technical service, research and development and strategic marketing experts and will be leading our efforts in assigned markets and applications. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in new business development, new product development, strategic planning and product management and has a strong polymer background. This position can be located in Spartanburg, SC, Charlotte, NC or at one at our PET business offices in Europe or Asia. We urge internal and international candidates to apply.
Responsibilities / Job Requirements Business Strategy & P&L Management of Products: Develop and execute the business strategy with Product P&L responsibility, driving profitability through effective pricing, cost optimization, and margin management. Oversee annual sales, margin, and capex budgeting, ensuring strategic implementation and regular performance reporting. Manage a global product portfolio, optimizing production locations based on manufacturing capabilities and regional demand while driving new product development and portfolio maintenance. Maintain detailed project and customer data in Salesforce CRM for informed decision-making.
New Business Development: Lead cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Technical Service, Manufacturing) to develop and expand new business opportunities globally. Leverage all sales channels, including key account management, direct sales, branded distribution, and internal synergies within Indorama Ventures.
Product Roadmap & Innovation: Define product specifications, set objectives, and oversee new product development, ensuring alignment with market needs and business goals.
Customer & Market Insights: Gather customer insights through direct engagement, industry events, and market research to drive strategic decisions and prioritize initiatives.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize analytics tools to guide market evaluation, development priorities, and business case preparation for new products and capex investments.
Value Proposition & Pricing Strategy: Working with marketing team to create value propositions while developing pricing strategies that balance market share and profitability, considering regional and competitive dynamics.
Sustainability & Innovation: Support and integrate sustainability initiatives into business strategies and product development.
Internal & External Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams (R&D, Tech Service, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, Quality, Supply Chain) and foster partnerships with equipment manufacturers, converters, brand owners, and trade organizations.
Thought Leadership & Industry Engagement: Represent Indorama Ventures Specialty Polymers as a speaker at industry conferences and tradeshows, contributing to and publishing articles in trade magazines.
Education/Skills/ Experience - 10 years of experience in the polymer industry across product line management, business development, field sales, application development, R&D, or business management.
- Ideally 3+ years in PET or copolyester experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degrees are a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; must be able to influence and build meaningful global partnerships across multiple levels within the company and locations without direct authority.
- Tenacious, Self-motivated with entrepreneur spirit, adaptable and resourceful in a dynamic environment, with a passion to drive positive change.
- Strategic mindset with a strong blend of business and technology acumen.
- Strong strategic and creative thinking skills.
