This role is vital to preserving the authenticity of our menu while contributing new traditional dishes that enhance our customers' culinary experience.BenefitsFull time RoleOpportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.Be part of a team that values creativity and innovation.Competitive salary with superannuation.Task & responsibilitiesPrepare and cook a variety of Turkish hot and cold mezzes, grilled meats (including ocakbasi), seafood, and traditional main dishes ensuring high standards of taste, presentation, and portion control.Check the quality of raw materials, monitor food storage and preparation to maintain freshness and food safety standards.Manage cooking processes, monitor equipment and kitchen operations to ensure optimal efficiency and product quality.Collaborate with the team to innovate and introduce new Turkish dishes to the menu while maintaining the authenticity of Turkish culinary traditions.Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety of the kitchen environment in line with health regulations.Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain consistent standards and performance.Qualification & experienceMinimum of a Certificate IV / Diploma in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.Demonstrated expertise in preparing Turkish cuisine and a deep understanding of Turkish culinary traditions.Minimum one year of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen.Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality and consistency.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a team.About CompanyTaksim Square Restaurant is a premier dining establishment renowned for authentic Turkish cuisine, offering a rich blend of traditional flavours and innovative dishes.
