Primary Teacher – Australian Trained Teachers Welcome & Encouraged to Apply! Role: Primary Teacher
Start Date: September 2026 (Flexible for overseas relocation)
Salary: $73,500 - $96,000 per annum (Inner London Pay Scale)
Location: Camden, Central London, UK Role Description – Primary Teacher (Overseas Applicants Encouraged) Our Ofsted-rated ‘OUTSTANDING’ partner primary school in Central London is delighted to welcome applications from Australian-trained Primary Teachers who are looking to teach, live, and gain international experience in the UK. This is a full-time Primary Teacher role in a warm, ambitious, and inclusive school community. Both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers from Australia are strongly encouraged to apply. The school is highly experienced in supporting overseas teachers with their transition to the UK education system. The school is a two-form entry primary academy catering for pupils aged 3–11, with a strong emphasis on academic achievement, character development, and community values. It is housed in a modern, purpose-built building with bright, spacious classrooms and excellent outdoor learning spaces, creating an inspiring environment for both pupils and staff. Overseas Interview & Start Process
  • Online interviews will be held for Australian-based applicants during February and March
  • The school aims to appoint by Easter 2026, with flexibility to support visa and relocation timelines for September commencement

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Teaching across the UK Primary Curriculum (training and support provided where needed)
  • Planning lessons collaboratively with your year-group partner teacher
  • Assessment and marking
  • Maintaining high standards of behaviour and pupil engagement
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Actively contributing to the wider school community

Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • Australian teaching qualification (e.g. Bachelor of Education or equivalent)
  • PGCE and/or QTS is desirable, but support with UK QTS guidance can be provided
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Experience working with diverse school communities is highly valued
  • A genuine interest in international teaching and professional development
