Data & Infrastructure Engineer (f/m/d)

Your mission You are responsible for building and managing the cloud and IT infrastructure that powers Holyvolt’s data-driven battery cell development. As the Data & Infrastructure Engineer you ensure seamless collection, storage, and accessibility of testing and production data from diverse machines, APIs, and lab systems. By creating a robust data backbone and maintaining secure IT operations, you enable data scientists and AI engineers to accelerate innovation in next-generation battery technology.

YOUR TASKS

• Design and implement a cloud-based data infrastructure (e.g. AWS, Azure) to collect data from lab and testing equipment, production systems, and external APIs. Also collect, map, and store data from business systems (finance, sourcing, people etc.).
• Develop reliable data pipelines and integrations that ensure high-quality, accessible data across the organization.
• Enable AI and data science team to leverage structured data for model development, experiment simulation, and accelerated testing. Focus on product development but also enable business analytics.
• Collaborate closely with battery engineers, process experts, and AI specialists to align digital tools with R&D needs while equally supporting business functions.
• Conduct basic analyses and build initial dashboards to validate and visualize data quality and performance.
• Contribute to the digitalization of Holyvolt’s battery development process, turning raw data into predictive intelligence.
• Manage and improve the company’s IT infrastructure, including networks, devices, and access systems. Coordinate and oversee external IT service providers, ensuring smooth operations and strong support.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity standards to safeguard sensitive research and production data.

Your profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and modern data engineering tools.
• Understanding of industrial or laboratory data environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI engineering tools (experience with Monolith AI is an advantage).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, IT systems, and vendor management.
• A proactive, hands-on mindset, excited about building systems that empower scientific progress.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills in multidisciplinary environments.
