Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting the Head Chef with kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation. This position requires a strong understanding of food safety practices, culinary techniques, and the ability to lead and supervise kitchen staff effectively.   • Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality food preparation.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
  • Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
  • Assist in menu planning, including seasonal offerings and special events.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
  • Help develop new recipes and improve existing ones to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.

Experience
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.
  • A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
