Visa Sponsorship: Available for the right candidate, subject to eligibility and meeting all requirementsWe are a Sri Lankan restaurant located in Southport on the Gold Coast, seeking an experienced and motivated Full-Time Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team.We are looking for someone who is passionate about food, works well in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes in accordance with restaurant standards.
• Assisting with menu planning and development.
• Managing stock levels, inventory, and ordering kitchen supplies.
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with Australian regulations.
• Supervising, supporting, and training kitchen staff to ensure consistency in food preparation and service.
• Monitoring portion control and minimising food wastage.
• Ensuring efficient kitchen operations during busy service periods.
• Working collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams.

Applicant RequirementsTo be considered for this position, applicants should:

• Hold a relevant formal qualification in Commercial Cookery (Certificate III or higher).
• Have at least 1 year of relevant full-time work experience in a commercial kitchen, in addition to formal qualifications.
• Have a strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and WHS requirements.
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork, communication, organisation, and time-management skills.
• Be reliable, professional, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Be committed to maintaining consistently high standards of food quality and kitchen operations.
