We are currently seeking experienced Carpenters, to join our team. This role is crucial to the execution and delivery of high-quality results for new builds and refurbishments, both locally and in remote locations.This role is ideal for a skilled professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in high-quality craftsmanship.Key Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Measuring, cutting, and assembling wood and other materials with precision.
- Installing structures and fixtures, including shelves, windows, doors, flooring, cabinetry, and other carpentry elements.
- Repairing, renovating, and maintaining existing structures to ensure their safety and functionality.
- Operating a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards, following safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time and within scope.
- Adaptability and flexibility to travel & work in remote, diverse environments
Requirements
- Trade qualification in Carpentry
- A minimum of 3 years of carpentry experience in a similar role
- A valid Construction White Card
- A valid Driver’s licence
- Basic English communication skills
- Basic computer literacy for daily job and time record submissions
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills
- Cross-cultural awareness
- A knowledge of Aboriginal culture and the issues affecting Aboriginal people in the Northern Territory
