About the roleAs a Chef de Partie at IL MATTO TORQUAY' in Torquay VIC, you will be a key member of the kitchen team, responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to our high standards. This is a full-time position where you will play an integral role in the day-to-day operations of our busy restaurant. What you'll be doing

• Preparing and cooking a range of dishes across multiple stations, ensuring consistent high quality
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
• Assisting the Head Chef in menu planning and development
• Ensuring efficient and timely service of all menu items
• Actively contributing to the ongoing improvement of kitchen operations and procedures

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a busy restaurant environment
• Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, plating and presentation
• Strong time management and organisational skills to work efficiently under pressure
• Passion for creating high quality, creative dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the kitchen brigade
• Food safety and hygiene certification
