IT Support Specialist Location: Australia / New Zealand Employment Type: Full-Time About the RoleAn IT Support Specialist provides technical support to employees and users within an organisation, ensuring that all IT systems, devices, and networks operate efficiently. This role is essential in maintaining smooth business operations across industries such as healthcare, finance, retail, and corporate services. Key ResponsibilitiesRespond to IT support requests from staff and users.Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.Provide onsite and remote technical support.Install, configure, and update operating systems and applications.Set up and maintain laptops, desktops, printers, and user accounts.Support network connectivity, including Wi-Fi, VPN, and internal systems.Monitor system performance and resolve technical faults.Reset passwords and manage user access permissions.Follow cybersecurity policies and assist with system security updates.Record issues and resolutions in IT ticketing systems.Maintain IT asset records and documentation.Provide basic user training and technical guidance to staff. Skills & ExperienceDiploma or degree in Information Technology or related field.Strong knowledge of Windows/Mac operating systems.Basic understanding of networking (LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN).Experience with Microsoft 365 and common business applications.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.Good communication and customer service skills.Ability to explain technical issues in simple terms.
