Qualifications & experience - Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework
- Hold or working towards an ACECQA approved Diploma qualification
- Current Working with Children's Check
- Current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid Certificates or willingness to obtain one
- Mandatory Reporting Certificate
- Current Child Protection Training or willingness to obtain one
Skills & responsibilities - Be competent and prepared to be appointed to the position of Responsible Person as required
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and maintain a high standard of care while following centre policies and procedures.
- Lead a team effectively by role modeling, including the ability to assign tasks and delegate roles.
- Possess leadership qualities that inspire trust, respect, communication, and collaboration among team members.
- Cultural competence—respect and value different cultures, traditions, and beliefs, ensuring that every child and family feels welcomed and respected.
- Implement high-quality, play-based learning programs that engage and stimulate children's development.
- Create a safe, supportive, stimulating, and educational environment for children.
- Document children's learning and development through observations, assessments, and portfolios.
- Demonstrate effective time management and classroom management skills
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, children, families, and the community.
- Ensure a high standard of hygiene in compliance with procedures and policies
- Maintain ongoing records of the child’s development and daily information.
