Qualifications & experience
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Hold or working towards an ACECQA approved Diploma qualification
  • Current Working with Children's Check
  • Current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid Certificates or willingness to obtain one
  • Mandatory Reporting Certificate
  • Current Child Protection Training or willingness to obtain one

Skills & responsibilities
  • Be competent and prepared to be appointed to the position of Responsible Person as required
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and maintain a high standard of care while following centre policies and procedures.
  • Lead a team effectively by role modeling, including the ability to assign tasks and delegate roles.
  • Possess leadership qualities that inspire trust, respect, communication, and collaboration among team members.
  • Cultural competence—respect and value different cultures, traditions, and beliefs, ensuring that every child and family feels welcomed and respected.
  • Implement high-quality, play-based learning programs that engage and stimulate children's development.
  • Create a safe, supportive, stimulating, and educational environment for children.
  • Document children's learning and development through observations, assessments, and portfolios.
  • Demonstrate effective time management and classroom management skills
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, children, families, and the community.
  • Ensure a high standard of hygiene in compliance with procedures and policies
  • Maintain ongoing records of the child’s development and daily information.
