About NGR Meats NGR Meats is a new business backed by NextGenRegen produce — and a wider network of regenerative, chemical-free farms. We’re building a butchery that supports farmers doing the right thing and gives customers real transparency from paddock to plate. We believe people deserve to know where their food comes from, how animals are treated, and what “real” farming looks like when you prioritise soil health, animal welfare, and honesty.Alongside our own pasture-raised pork and farm produce, we’ll also be butchering:
  • Beef bodies (grass-fed and organically grown)
  • Lamb + mutton (organically grown, grass-fed & finished)
  • Goat (farmed and wild)
  • Wild venison bodies (fallow, red and sambar) harvested by a contracted shooter

This role matters — you’ll help set the standard for quality, consistency, and trust as we scale. The Role You’ll be responsible for whole-body breakdown and processing into retail-ready cuts and products.Key responsibilities:
  • Confident whole-body breakdown (not just tray work)
  • Cutting to spec: clean, consistent cuts with strong yield awareness
  • Portioning, packing, labelling, and presentation standards
  • Cold-chain discipline and workflow efficiency
  • Hygiene, cleaning schedules, and food safety compliance
  • Work with a mix of farm-raised bodies and wild-harvest product (variable size/condition)

Smallgoods / value-add (required) We need someone who can help us build a premium smallgoods range.
  • Proven experience in smallgoods including curing and smoked meats
  • Strong understanding of process control, consistency, and food safety

Required skills and experience Proven experience breaking down:
  • Beef
  • Lamb + mutton
  • Goat (farmed and/or wild)
  • Venison (fallow/red/sambar)
  • Pork
  • Strong knife skills and ability to work efficiently without sacrificing quality
  • High standard of cleanliness and food safety mindset (non-negotiable) Reliable, calm under pressure, and team-first attitude

On-camera / social media requirement We’ll be pushing this business hard across social media to build awareness and educate customers. You must be:
  • Comfortable in front of a camera (short clips, behind-the-scenes, explaining cuts)
  • A genuine communicator with a bit of character — friendly, real, and able to talk to customers like a normal human (You don’t need to be an influencer — just confident and authentic.)

What we offer
  • Full-time, stable role with a fast-growing regenerative brand
  • Salary $75,000–$85,000 (depending on experience) + superannuation
  • The chance to help build something from the ground up
  • Sponsorship may be available for the right candidate (depending on eligibility and fit)
