The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Full time Ginner to lead shift operations at our Emerald cotton gin site. The Ginner is responsible for leading their shift and ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective operation of all areas within their control. This includes overseeing and managing all aspects of the gin production process, ensuring that work is carried out consistently in line with established procedures and instructions. The Ginner must also ensure compliance with all state and federal safety regulations, always maintaining a safe and productive working environment. Your responsibilities include:· SHE (Safety, Health and Environment)· Gin Operation and Safety· Maintain the physical appearance of the premises and areas under your control to the satisfaction of the Manager.· Monitor production and maintenance· Employee Supervision during day or night shift· Assist the Manager in instruction and tutoring of the crew in their duties and responsibilities and always ensuring full utilization of staff· Work permits Skills & ExperienceThe ideal candidate will be a proactive and safety-focused leader with proven experience in production or agricultural operations. You will bring strong supervisory skills, hands-on knowledge of machinery, maintenance or electrical systems, and the ability to oversee daily operations effectively. Strong computer literacy, reporting skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the team are essential, along with prior gin or agricultural experience being highly regarded. With excellent people management and problem-solving skills, it is important you can prove the following:· Background in, Mechanical, Electrical, hydraulic, fitter, welding, or fabrication· At least four year’s relevant experience. In some instances, relevant experience and/or on the job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification· Working within a strict safe work environment· Willingness and ability to pass a Pre-employment Medical and Drug + Alcohol testing.A reliable work ethic, good communication skills with a safety-first attitude are essential to succeeding in this role.
