Business Systems Product Manager

Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Business Systems Product Manager to join a growing Business Systems team. This role is focused exclusively on the strategy, development, and ongoing enhancement of internal-facing business systems that support critical company operations, including billing, subscription services, ecommerce, and customer support platforms. If external systems or products is your forte and what you succeed in, this is not the job for you.This position serves as the product owner and strategic lead for complex enterprise systems used by internal stakeholders across the organization. Success in this role requires strong communication, technical acumen, and proven experience managing large-scale systems implementations in a cross-functional environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Own and evolve internal business systems used to support operational processes such as billing, subscriptions, ecommerce, and customer support
• Lead discovery and requirements-gathering efforts with internal stakeholders across business and technology teams
• Translate business needs into detailed product documentation and functional requirements for architects, developers, and QA teams
• Produce documentation covering system behavior, data models, API integrations, workflows, and UI components (e.g., Angular-based interfaces)
• Analyze internal product feedback to identify defects, enhancements, and new capabilities
• Partner with business leadership to define priorities and align product initiatives with organizational goals
• Develop and maintain product vision, roadmaps, and delivery plans
• Drive delivery of scalable, usable, and high-value solutions
• Develop a deep understanding of enterprise platforms, datasets, integrations, APIs, and data flows to proactively identify risks and gaps
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, clearly articulating current and future system functionality
• Support third-party integrations and external platform partnerships
• Participate in and support product launches, including demos, training, and operational readiness activities
• Serve as Scrum Product Owner when needed, including backlog management and story prioritization
• Define and track product KPIs; contribute to reporting and performance analysis
• Participate in release planning and provide Go/No-Go input during production deployments
• Perform Business Analyst responsibilities when required

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS)
• 3+ years of experience in Product Management or Product Development, specifically supporting business systems
• 2+ years of experience working with or leading cross-functional teams
• Proven experience performing discovery and translating business needs into detailed product requirements
• Hands-on experience working in Agile environments, including story writing and backlog management
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work effectively with internal customers who are highly accessible and engaged on a daily basis

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading or supporting large-scale implementations of enterprise platforms such as:
• Microsoft Dynamics
• Zuora
• Ecommerce platforms
• Experience with Salesforce is acceptable if paired with strong enterprise systems background
• Prior involvement in international or multi-region system rollouts is a plus

• The “customer” for this position is entirely internal stakeholders – if you don’t have extensive history with similar product management, this isn’t the job for you. Candidates whose experience is primarily limited to consumer or commercial product management may not be a fit
