7+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience, with strong ITSM focus.
Strong JavaScript skills and understanding of ServiceNow scripting APIs (GlideRecord, Script Includes).
Experience with Flow Designer/Workflow, Service Catalog, and ITSM processes.
Working knowledge of ACLs, roles, data policies, and secure development patterns.
Experience building integrations (REST preferred) and troubleshooting interface issues.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs and implement them cleanly.
Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with platform logs/debugging tools.
Preferred Qualifications
ServiceNow certifications (one or more): CSA, CAD, ITSM Implementer
Experience with Service Portal/Employee Center, UI Builder, or Next Experience.
Experience with Performance Analytics, Virtual Agent, or IntegrationHub.
Key Responsibilities
Configure and develop ITSM applications (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, CMDB, Service Catalog).
Build and maintain workflows/automations using Flow Designer and/or Workflow (as needed).
Develop and support Service Portal and/or Employee Center experiences (widgets, pages, catalog items).
Create and maintain business rules, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, script includes, and scheduled jobs.
Implement catalog items, record producers, approvals, and fulfillment processes.
Design and optimize CMDB data model, CI classes/relationships, and service mapping inputs as applicable.
Develop integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server, and inbound/outbound interfaces.
Build reports, dashboards, and Performance Analytics indicators (if licensed/required).
Perform unit testing, support UAT, and resolve defects; provide post-release support.
Follow SDLC processes including documentation, code reviews, and release management (update sets/app repo).
Ensure solution performance, security, and compliance with platform best practices (ACLs, roles, data separation).
Contribute to platform governance and technical standards.
