About the roleTrinity Real Holdings Family Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and passionate Cook to join our culinary team in Banana, QLD. This is a full-time position where you will take a role in our kitchen operations, creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests. As Cook, you will be responsible for food preparation, kitchen management and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and hygiene. This role is pivotal to delivering outstanding service and establishing our reputation for culinary excellence in the hospitality sector.Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes to consistent standards, ensuring excellent taste, presentation and portion control
• Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking and plating
• Manage kitchen inventory, stock levels and ordering of ingredients and supplies
• Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations and company policies
• Train, supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive working environment
• Monitor food costs and contribute to achieving financial targets and profitability
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction
• Manage special dietary requirements and accommodate guest requests where possible
• Maintain equipment and report any maintenance issues promptly

What we're looking for

• Recognised culinary qualification or extensive hands-on experience as a Cook in a busy kitchen environment
• Proven track record of menu development and food preparation across multiple cuisines
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and health regulations relevant to food service
• Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Creative flair and passion for cooking, combined with a commitment to quality and consistency
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all departments
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of presentation and taste
• Experience with inventory management, budgeting and controlling food costs
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
