Position: Salaried GP
About the Practice We are a rapidly growing practice in the Hampton area of Peterborough, a high QOF‑achieving practice with a good CQC rating. It is a training practice that supervises Cambridge and Leicester medical students and hosts several ARRS roles including Physician Associate, Clinical Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician and Assistant General Practitioner. The practice boasts a strong nursing team featuring ANPs, Nurse Associates, practice nurses and two triage nurses, with management overseen by a Business Manager and Assistant Practice Manager.Responsibilities
- Make yourself available for surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visit patients at home, check and sign repeat prescriptions, and handle queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.
- Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self‑referred or referred from other health‑care workers within the Practice.
- Assess the health‑care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
- Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
- In consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease‑management protocols, develop care plans for health.
- Provide counselling and health education.
- Administer or discharge patients to and from the caseload and refer to other care providers as appropriate.
- Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
- Supervise learners as part of the role.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified General Practitioner with GMC registration.
- Be on the NHSE medical performers list.
- Have a valid Disclosure and Barring Service check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
