KOI Dessert Bar is looking for a talented individual to join our main pastry production team and contribute to our award-winning creations.
About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated professional with
solid experience and knowledge in all aspects of pastry production. You will be an integral part of our team, ensuring the highest standards of quality, consistency, and efficiency. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and operational management.
Key Responsibilities- Daily preparation for kitchen service, focusing on high-volume pastry production.
- Demonstrating expertise with techniques involving mousse, choux pastry, and layered cakes.
- Mastery of chocolate tempering skills.
- Manage preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain KOI's high standards.
- Inventory Control & Food Costing Management.
- Maintain rigorous standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety regulations.
- Provide valuable input into menu development and innovation.
What You'll Bring to KOISuccessful applicants must possess the following:
- Demonstrated knowledge of advanced techniques and practices in a high-end Pastry Kitchen.
- Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to mentor and manage a team.
- Ability to thrive and perform in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience Requirements- Minimum 2 years' experience in a fine dining or high-volume pastry production setting.
- Previous kitchen management experience or demonstrated supervisory capacity is desirable.
- Formal culinary training / culinary degree or equivalent relevant qualification/experience.
- A valid working visa is a must (for non-permanent residents).
