Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Assist in the planning of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food handling procedures and cooking techniques.
- Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, special events, or improvements.
Qualifications- Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling practices.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in cooking processes.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
