OPERATOR Description
- Oversee the daily setup, operation and basic maintenance of the client's robots and associated hardware.
- Contractor will perform routine maintenance checks of the existing hardware to ensure it complies with the operational capabilities of both the related, client directed experiments and the environment the hardware is operating in. This is expected to occur both in a local environment where the Contractor is adjacent to the robot and in a remote environment where the operator is located at a different physical location than where the robot is situated.
- Contractor is expected to research and fully understand the hardware configuration and software stack of the applicable robot(s) prior to performing the Services.
- Execute various manipulation tasks in a virtual reality environment with an aim in collecting clean datasets. All data will be clean and usable, fully representing manipulation tasks performed.
- Contractor, from time to time as needed, will collect data related to the operations of the robot and its performance of various assigned tasks (“Robot Data”) via a virtual reality headset which is utilized to control the operation of a robot either through navigation or manipulation of arms through the virtual representation of its surroundings.
- Contractor will retrieve and label datasets in accordance with the client's standards and direction and save them in the appropriate, client- assigned repositories.
All Robot Data collected must be in accordance with the client's established acceptance standards (which may vary over time as more Robot Data is collected and/or based on requirements and updates provided by the client's Project Manager).
- Ensure robotic hardware and software configuration control.
- Contractor will maintain configuration control of both hardware and software stacks to ensure there is a strong reliance on all collected Robot Data and that all Robot Data coincides with previous iterations.
- Contractor will track and record any diversion from current configuration of both hardware and software between Robot Data collection sessions and, where appropriate, perform data leveling on any variances of configurations during each Robot Data collection session.
- Troubleshoot and report any test results or issues relating to robotic hardware and software.
- Contractor will troubleshoot deviations on the hardware or software.
- Contractor will record and report all such deviations to client.
- Contractor personnel will be able to recognize deviations from standard operating environments and performance that occur during the course of data collection.
- Perform preventative maintenance routines on hardware, such as battery change-outs and device calibrations.
- Contractor will identify maintenance related changes required in situations where the robot is not fully able to operate based on client's established standards (i.e. lack of coherent operation based on commands given).
- Create and refine documentation and procedures.
- Contractor will read and understand all documentation related to and prior to providing the Services. Contractor will make necessary changes to client documentation to ensure that instructions and processes are clearly defined, subject to client's approval.
Requirements -Be able to sit and data collect for hours -Comfortable with learning and listening how to do task correctly -Be able to lift up to 25 pounds -Ok with working around robots -Stay on top of quotas and on task -Be on time -Shift is 3:30pm-11:30pm-- Be okay with this shift there is no other shifts open -Work Monday-Friday -No experience is better -No prior work experience is needed, preferred no experience so we can train you the right way -Be able to follow instructions from videos or watch videos and write sentences of what they are doing in the video -Be able to sit for long periods at a time -Be able to work with your hands to move robots to do everyday task -Background in computers or knowledge is helpful but not required.
