Do you have experience creating intuitive and engaging user experiences involving information architecture and visual design? Does the prospect of researching, designing and delivering experiences on one of our largest customer-facing touchpoints excite you? If so, we have a newly created Senior UX Designer position in our Global Marketing team that we'd like to talk to you about. This role will lead and deliver the UX strategy for our International Education marketing websites, ensuring that solutions are customer-validated, accessible, and coherent. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand user needs, business goals, and technological constraints, leading the design process from concept to implementation.
Your mission is to ensure our web marketing efforts effectively attract, engage, and convert our target audiences. We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.
About the role Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead and deliver the UX Strategy: Drive the UX strategy for our online marketing presence, collaborating with the Web Marketing team to design innovative solutions that deliver on our design standards and customer experience principles.
- Research and Design: Lead the research and design process for online marketing solutions, projects, and larger programs, planning for the future.
- User-Centric Approach: Establish a user-centric approach to designing, delivering, and measuring our web marketing experiences and journeys, working closely with our web product owners.
- Customer Journey: Demonstrate a clear understanding of how our online marketing presence fits into the broader teaching and learning journey, working to deliver coherence with the wider digital ecosystem.
- Develop Artefacts: Create artefacts such as customer journeys and service blueprints, contributing to a library of design patterns through our Schools Design System.
About you You will bring a fresh perspective to the team, believe in accessible design and have strong collaboration and leadership skills. We use Figma to build and manage our Design System and design our products and services, it's not essential to be familiar with this but it is preferred. To excel in this role, you will possess:
- A leading understanding and appreciation for user-centered design.
- Experience of researching and refining complex information architectures.
- Ability to act on and incorporate feedback.
- Being able to provide constructive criticism and feedback in design crits.
- An understanding of human-computer interaction design.
- Clear communication and presentation skills.
- Strong time and project management.
- Experience of working in Agile methodologies.
