Sourcing Operations Associate
Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid - In-office Tuesday through Thursday)
Work Authorization: Open to U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, and H1B sponsorship
Academic Requirement: Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university with a GPA of 3.5 or higher

Role Summary

The Sourcing Operations Associate will support investment sourcing efforts across the North American Consumer and Technology verticals. This role blends relationship management, data operations, marketing support, and technology enablement to help drive origination and pipeline development.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management & Network Coordination
  • Maintain CRM systems (Affinity) including interaction logs, pipeline tracking, and reporting
  • Leverage internal tools and networks to identify warm introductions to target companies
  • Map and manage banker/intermediary relationships; coordinate with coverage officers on conferences and inbound opportunities
  • Track executive movements using LinkedIn, expert networks, and other sources
  • Maintain advisor and river guide databases in collaboration with the Talent team
  • Assist with trip planning, meeting optimization, and investor conference logistics

Pipeline & Deal Tracking
  • Maintain and update vertical-specific target pipelines
  • Participate in vertical meetings to track progress and next steps
  • Ensure timely follow-up on meetings and target engagements
  • Monitor competitive deal activity and sponsor portfolios
  • Support initial screening of target companies through data gathering and ad hoc analysis
  • Share best practices across business units

Marketing & Event Support
  • Own and update the Global PE Marketing Compendium
  • Create and maintain vertical-specific pitch decks and microsites
  • Help plan and execute executive events, including logistics and attendee management
  • Provide on-site support for conferences and events

Technology & Data Enablement
  • Collaborate with Research Services, Data Science, and IT teams to identify new sourcing tools and data sets
  • Support training and implementation of new systems across the investment group



Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience in business development, sales operations, or a related field
  • Strong academic background from a top-tier university (GPA 3.5+)
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and engage with diverse stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and intellectually curious
  • Familiarity with private equity or financial services preferred
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with CRM tools and origination platforms (e.g., Pitchbook, Grata) is a plus
  • Interest in AI applications for business is a bonus
  • Experience at a software or data-driven company is advantageous
