• Enjoys working outdoors; strong work ethic; physically fit
• Ability to focus on task for prolonged period, paying attention to details
• Ability to listen to detailed instruction
• Able to work alone or in a group setting
• Reliable, able to put in extra hours when needed
• Self motivated, demonstrate a productive and positive attitude
• Handy with tools and materials, mechanically inclined
• Some work with animals
• Min 2 years Broiler Chicken Farm/Grain Farm Experience an asset
• Mechanical Skills an asset
• Equipment operation experience an asset
• Valid Class 1 drivers license an asset
• Must have valid class 5 license and clean driving record
• Own transportation
• Accomodation a possibility

Hours and Benefits

• Work will consist 40+ hours a week + evenings and weekends during seeding and harvest.
• Starting wage of $20-$25 per hour, depends on experience
• Job is permanent full time
• Start date is ASAP

Job Description

• Daily broiler chicken barn work
• making chicken feed at on farm feed mill
• Shop work
• Basic mechanics
• Running augers, and smaller equipment
• General field work, including but not limited to manure spreading, tillage, tractor, disking, haying
• Participate actively in farm’s safety initiatives, policies, and bio security protocals
