Finance Business Partner - Projects
Full-time | 5 days in office
$130k - $160k + super + bonus
417 Visa holders will be considered

This is a standout opportunity for a commercially driven Management Accountant to step into a newly created position and make it your own. Reporting to the CFO the Finance Business Partner (Projects) will play a key role in aligning Finance with Projects focussing on commercial outcomes.

You must be a strong communicator with highly effective and adaptable communication skills and be able to build successful working relationships with both corporate as well as operations staff face to face.

What you’ll be doing

  • Partner with senior management and department heads to provide financial insights and recommendations to better inform strategic and operational decisions. 
  • Project performance management through analysing financial data, tracking performance against goals, identifying variances as well as areas for improvement and cost optimization. 
  • Develop financial forecasts, support budgeting processes, and ensure alignment with the organisation's overall strategy. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their needs and integrate financial perspectives into their operations. 
  • Prepare and deliver detailed financial reports and presentations to stakeholders. 
  • Offer financial guidance to help manage risk and ensure compliance with regulations. 

 
About you

  • CA/CPA preferred (but not essential).
  • Tertiary qualification in Business (Commerce, Accounting) or related discipline.
  • 5+ years’ experience in industry - Engineering, Construction or Manufacturing backgrounds preferred (but not essential).
  • Sound and up to date understanding of management accounting principles.
  • Ability to analyse financials and translate into actionable insights.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey financial information to non-finance audiences.
  • Capacity to influence stakeholders and lead change.
