Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to oversee mission-aligned projects within our organisation and ideally can join us by the end of this year or early next year. The ideal candidate combines operational excellence with cultural sensitivity, strong leadership, and a proven track record in project execution. You will lead multiple projects, ensure timely delivery, maintain quality, and help advance our educational and outreach goals.
Responsibilities- Lead and guide projects across all phases (initiation → planning → execution → closure), ensuring alignment with organizational values
- Monitor and control costs, timelines, and resource allocation to stay within budget and schedule
- Assist and support directors or senior partners, fostering a collaborative, respectful, and mission-oriented atmosphere
- Maintain clear and ongoing communication with internal and external stakeholders, providing progress reports and managing expectations
- Document processes and project artifacts using tools such as SharePoint and Google Workspace
- Analyze project data and performance metrics to inform decision-making and continuous improvement
- Prepare polished presentations for stakeholders, highlighting project progresses, outcomes, risks, and achievements
Requirements- Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in project management, business administration, marketing or a related field
- Experience: 1 year of experience in project management or related roles, preferably in non-profit, cultural, or community-based organisations
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written) is a must
- Cultural Alignment: An appreciation for Buddhist values and a passion for traditional Chinese culture are essential
- Cultural Awareness: Basic understanding of Chinese culture and business practices to ensure effective cross-cultural collaboration
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated, diligent, and dependable, with a proven ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Project Delivery: Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, develop clear project plans, and coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve milestones
- Organisational Skills: Excellent time management, organisation, and multitasking capabilities in dynamic and fast-paced environments
- Financial Competence: Proven experience in cost control, budget oversight, and maintaining financial discipline throughout project execution
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Technical Skills: Experience or familiarity with content management systems (CMS), ideally within non-profit or religious contexts
