Based at the Goulburn campus, you will contribute to subject delivery, curriculum design, and maintain strong ties with industry partners to ensure our program reflects the evolving needs of the profession.You’ll teach across the full spectrum of the policing curriculum (excluding weapons/officer safety and some driver training) and have a specialisation or experience in areas such as operational policing, criminal law and procedure, investigations, community policing, or leadership.In this role, you’ll apply contemporary teaching methods and digital tools to deliver high-quality, student-centred education across both face-to-face and online platforms. You’ll also contribute to curriculum design, peer review processes, and research aligned with modern policing. Industry engagement is a key component, with strong connections to community safety partners helping ensure the course remains practical, relevant, and impactful.These are full-time ongoing roles based at our Goulburn campus and delivered in partnership with the NSW Police Academy.Please review the position description for further information.LocationThese positions are based at the NSW Police Academy in Goulburn, however travel to other campuses of Western Sydney University may be required.About YouYou hold a relevant qualification—either a Master’s (for Level A) or PhD (for Level B)—with deep expertise in policing or a related discipline.   • Academic Level A - $112,718 to $136,180 p.a. (comprising base salary of $95,248 to $115,074 p.a., plus 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading)
  • Academic Level B - $143,084 to $168,838 p.a. (comprising base salary of $120,908 to $142,769 p.a., plus 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading

Pre-Employment Requirements
Successful applicants will be required to:
  • Complete and obtain approval via the NSW Police Force Professional Suitability Application Form, and
  • Obtain and maintain a Baseline National Security Clearance, as required by the NSW Police Academy.
