Job Description:
Begin date: 6/29/2026 Full Time: Yes Number of Workers Requested: 50 Job Duties: Multiple contract dates available. Alternative start date(s) include: 8/30/2026 (18 workers). Crops/Commodities: blueberries, grapes, watermelon, mint, apples, hops. Primary duties (performed the majority of workdays): Logistical Support Assistant: Provide logistical planning support to ensure workers arrive to and return home from the worksite and are performing the tasks assigned to them correctly and in a safe and productive manner. Monitor H-2A worker housing and properties, weekly for cleanliness, reporting maintenance issues, addressing worker concerns and communicating them to H-2A director. Perform monthly inspection on all H-2A fleet vehicles as well as report and schedule all maintenance to fleet vehicles. Provide support to farmworkers in operational roles such as truck, tractor, forklift and implement driving. Will be required to operate machinery at times as well as train workers on operation of machinery. Provide overall organizational assistance to H-2A workers during trips to town, check passing, worker events and H-2A related activities. Must exercise independent judgment; may be asked to demonstrate tasks to other employees, but position does not include supervision of other workers. Harvest Fruit Hauling and Loading – Dependent upon what is being hauled, follow direction from supervisor to: Assist with loading pallets/bins on trailer either by mechanical or manual loading. Apply load locks to secure load. If applicable, apply cables, or safety chains to containers or tubs to secure load. Drive fruit from field to plant . If applicable, attach grape tubs to truck for hauling. If applicable, ensure landing pads are lined up under landing gear feet. Assist with unloading of fruit either by mechanical or manual means. Ensure fluids, grease and tires are all at appropriate levels. Report major issues to supervision. The cargo is being hauled between the employer's own farm locations, including the employer's storage/packing facilities. No cargo is being hauled for purposes of making deliveries to customers or any third-party storage/market location. All duties are therefore consistent with the duties outlined in 45-2091 (Agricultural Equipment Operator) and/or 45-2092 (Farmworkers and Laborers). Truck Driver/Field Hauling and Loading – Dependent upon what is being hauled and as dictated by management. Assist with loading pallets on trailer either by mechanical or manual loading. Apply load locks to secure load. If applicable, apply cables, or safety chains to containers or tubs to secure load. Drive product from field to plant. If applicable, attach grape tubs to truck for hauling. If applicable, ensure landing pads are lined up under landing gear feet. Assist with unloading of product either by mechanical or manual means. Assist with farm building/field maintenance and repairs, including removal of weeds and garbage from these areas. Work is done in the field for long periods of time. Workers may assist in handling product weighing up to 60 pounds and lifting to a height of 5 feet. Workers must work on their feet in bent positions for long periods of time. Work requires repetitive movements and extensive walking. Job Classification: 45-2091.00 - Agricultural Equipment Operators Experience Required: No Special Requirements: Jobs are offered working in vineyards, blueberries or hops, handling manual and mechanized tasks associated with commodity production. Workers must be able to perform manual and mechanized tasks with accuracy and efficiency. Saturday work required. Must be able to lift/carry 60 lbs. Employer-paid post-hire, upon suspicion, and post-accident drug testing may be required. Alcohol test may be required. Number of Hours Per Week: 35 Work Schedule (Start/End time): 6:00 A.M. - 12:30 P.M.
