Live-in Caregiver- Senior

Location: Private residence at McCowan Rd and Steeles Avenue East in Markham, OntarioEmployment Type: Full-time, PermanentWage: $19.00 – $22.00 per hour (based on experience; meets or exceeds prevailing wage requirements))
Hours: 30–40 hours per week Job Duties:· Provide continuous personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene· Ability to follow established care routines and adapt to the evolving needs of the client· Coordinate and assist with scheduling medical appointments and therapies· Provide reminders and assist with administration of medication· Assist in maintaining a clean, safe home environment, including light housekeeping related to care· Prepare nutritious meals according to the client’s cultural and dietary needs· Provide consistent companionship and emotional support· Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for the client· Observe and report any changes in physical or emotional condition to family members Qualifications:· Secondary school completion is required· Previous experience in caregiving or related field is an asset· Strong organizational skills to manage appointments, therapies, and daily care routine· Ability to assist with mobility and personal care· Experience providing care to elderly individuals with mobility and rehabilitation needs is an asset.· Ability to prepare Tamil meals based on the client’s cultural and dietary preferences is an asset· Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate and reliable care while maintaining a positive, supportive environment for elderly clients.
