Emergency Medicine SRMO - 12 month contracts starting Feb 2025

The PositionEmergency Medicine SRMO (Senior Resident Medical Officer)Working out of two hospitals providing acute, sub-acute, primary and community based health services to the region. SRMOs can be responsible for patient in care in all areas of the ED – Resuscitation Bays, Fast Track, Acute, Behavioural Assessment, Paediatrics and the Emergency Medicine Unit.The first hospital is a 256 bed public hospital providing acute and sub-acute services, with our Emergency Department receiving around 55 thousand presentations per year.The second hospital is a 600+ bed tertiary trauma and referral hospital providing services to the region. It is one of the busiest EDs in the country seeing over 90,000 presentations per annum. Approximately 20% paediatric presentations. Have high acuity with admission rates of more than 35%. Have a significant trauma caseload.Essential CriteriaInternational graduates who qualify for the Competent Authority Pathway are welcome to apply.
