• Safely operate company delivery vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations.
• Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, with care to prevent damage or injury.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and documentation as required.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Ensure the security of goods during transit and handle items with care.
• Uphold high standards of customer service by representing the company professionally during interactions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within logistics or warehouse environments.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
• Experience with commercial driving vehicles such as vans or lorries is preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and team members professionally.
• Knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations is advantageous.
• Prior experience in warehouse operations or logistics is beneficial but not essential. This position is ideal for motivated individuals who enjoy driving, working independently, and providing excellent service in a fast-paced environment.
