Knitwear Manufacturing team member (Knitroom)

Location: Auckland, New Zealand (Pukekohe) Employment Type: Temporary 6 to 9 months with possibility of being permanent, Full-time (40 hours per week, up to 50 hours during peak season) Job Title: Knitting room – Team member. We utilise the latest knitting technologies to create luxury knitwear, ensuring our garments and accessories are of high quality and great value. About the Role We are looking for an organised individual with an eye for detail, knitting experience would be an advantage. The ideal candidate can work independently as well as part of a team. Applicants must be able to work legally in New Zealand and communicate well in both written and spoken English. What You’ll Get to Do • Inspection of Garment and accessories. • Inwards stores activities – receiving / booking and organizing deliveries • Knitting room maintenance activities – Housekeeping. • Support in laundry activities. • Yarn management – support the Knitroom and stores housekeeping. • Back-winding • Operate screen printing machine – printing of patterns in accessories. • Maintenance of the pest control. • Building maintenance and general activities. Other Core Functions • Performing general duties associated with the efficient running of the Knitting room and dispatch area Who You Are • Comfortable rolling up your sleeves and working across all areas of Lothlorian • Driven, practical, and decisive — able to make sound decisions. Qualifications & Skills You’ll Bring • Knitting Experience - Preferred. • Problem solving skills • Communication • Inventory and stock control • Attention to detail. • Must be able to pass a drug test • Physically fit and able to lift boxes containing up to 27 Kg (from shoulder height). • Fork-lift license – Preferred • Full Driving license • A sense of humour is always appreciated in this New Zealand–owned and operated family business.
