• Supporting the clinical team to deliver high-quality care to patients and their families.
• Assisting with auditing and stock checks as required.
• Participating in regular meetings and attending other meetings as requested.
• Undertaking skill set appropriate tasks as required.
• Assisting in maintaining stock levels, including pharmaceutical products.
• Being aware of waste management policies and ensuring compliance.
• Receiving and conveying information from telephone or personal enquiries courteously and greeting visitors in a welcoming manner.
• Supporting the clinical team and clerical staff in administrative duties as needed.
• Using the Health Care Assistant competency framework to develop skills in the clinical area.
• Practicing safe moving and handling as taught in training.
• Keeping up to date with mandatory training.
• Maintaining effective communication with patients, staff, and the wider MDT.
• Reporting and investigating incidents, near misses, and complaints, escalating issues when necessary.
• Ensuring a safe clinical environment and following escalation procedures for risks.
• Working independently and as part of a team.
