Azure Solutions Architect

We are seeking experienced Azure Solutions Architects to lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure and security solutions. These are hands-on, consultative role ideal for a self-starter who can evaluate business needs, propose scalable solutions, and drive cloud transformation initiatives across the organization.

Tasks

• Lead the architecture and design of Azure cloud infrastructure and transformation initiatives
• Collaborate with system architects, developers, DBAs, and security teams to implement scalable, secure solutions
• Provide technical leadership and guidance during design discussions and project delivery
• Support application modernization efforts and hybrid integrations with on-prem systems
• Design and implement secure, high-availability cloud environments in Azure
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to build integrated enterprise solutions
• Support and administer Power BI environments in collaboration with data teams
• Develop and maintain architecture documentation, standards, and best practices

NOTE: Local candidates preferred or willing to relocate to Wisconsin. Hybrid schedule.

Location: Madison, WI (Hybrid schedule)

Contract: 1 years

Skills Required:

• 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure
• Hands-on experience with Azure services such as: Azure Active Directory (AAD) , App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Networking (VNet, Application Gateway, Load Balancers) and Azure SQL / Data Services
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Azure DevOps
• Strong understanding of cloud security, identity management, and data protection
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Proven ability to design and deploy enterprise-scale cloud solutions
• Strong communication skills with experience working across multiple stakeholders
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

Skills Desired – A plus to have:

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, ARM, Ansible, Chef)
• Knowledge of NIST 800-53 or other security/compliance frameworks
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (AKS, Service Fabric)
• Familiarity with API Management, OAuth2.0 / OIDC, and Key Vault
• Experience with Azure Data Factory and data integration solutions
• Power BI administration experience
• Exposure to Dynamics 365 environments
• Strong automation and scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
• Rate depends on experience
