The roleA full-time position is available for a creative Chef with a passion for fine cuisine to join our vibrant team.As part of your duties & responsibilities, you will:1. Support the head chef in the daily running of the kitchen and undertake his responsibilities in case of absence.2. Review the menu periodically and propose new dishes in accordance with seasonal products3. Calculate costs involved in new dishes and cost changes in existing menu4. Ensure junior staff perform right cooking techniques, portioning and presentation of dishes5. Monitor compliance of hygiene and OH&S regulations within the kitchen environment6. Check freshness of ingredients and products are used as per method FIFO
The applicantYou must love what you do and also:1. Have Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery2. Have no less than 2 years of experience3. Ability to produce high quality dishes under pressure and fast paced environments4. Solid knowledge of sanitary and OH&S regulations5.
