About us The Research Department of Primary Care and Population Health at UCL is part of the Institute of Epidemiology and Health Care and is co-led by Professor Greta Rait and Professor Kate Walters. Our mission is to: Undertake excellent research that is clinically relevant and impacts on the health of individuals and populations; Use our research, teaching and innovation to impact on health system improvement and service redesign; Work in partnership with people who use services, practitioners across the health and social care sectors, policy makers and other stakeholders relevant to increasing the impact of academic activities; Provide excellent teaching in primary care, population health and research methods; Strengthen the discipline of general practice through leadership in research, teaching and clinical practice; Foster professional development in all members to enable each individual to reach their full potential About the role The post holder will be an advisor to researchers supporting delivery of the strategic aims and activities of the NIHR RSS, specifically around Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. They will be the first point of contact within the Research Support Service team for researchers from NHS, public health, social care, and Higher Education Institutions who are preparing applications for national peer-reviewed funding for health and social care research and whilst offering general advice on the applications they will provide specific guidance in equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI). About you The post holder will have EDI specialist skills and will work closely with the EDI Strategic Lead, the Director, and other individuals and partner organisations. They will continue to advance their research portfolio outside their RSS role. The post-holder will hold a PhD or have equivalent research experience of up to 4 years in primary care and/or mental health.
