Job Description:As an executive Chef at Millennium Dine, you will play a pivotal role in our kitchen team, assisting the Chef in preparing and executing high-quality Indian cuisine. Key Responsibilities:1.
Food Preparation and Cooking: Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing a diverse menu, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and are attractively presented.2.
Team Supervision: Motivate and supervise kitchen staff, delegating tasks and providing guidance to enhance performance.3.
Menu Development: Collaborate with the Head Chef to create innovative dishes that reflect the restaurant's niche and customer preferences.4.
Quality Control: Maintain consistent food quality and taste, conduct inspections, and oversee ingredient storage.5.
Kitchen Operations: Manage kitchen operations during service hours, ensuring efficient workflow and timely order execution.6.
Health and Safety Compliance: Enforce food safety and hygiene practices, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining a clean kitchen environment.7.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, minimize food waste, and ensure stock rotation for freshness.8.
Culinary Creativity: Bring creative ideas to the table, suggesting new recipes and presentation styles to enhance the menu offerings.
Qualifications and Skills:· Culinary qualifications or relevant training from any respected institution.· 4-5 years of experience in a similar role in a busy restaurant setting, with experience in Indian cuisine.· Genuine passion for Indian subcontinental cuisine.· Strong leadership and communication skills.· Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.· Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.· Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.· Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.· Full ownership and accountability in your role.· Drive, ambition, and a positive attitude.
