Job Summary: Google is seeking a Web Solutions Engineer to join their Global Partnerships Tools team. The role involves designing, building, and deploying scalable software platforms while innovating with AI to enhance tools that improve partnership management and decision-making.
Responsibilities: • Design, build, and deploy scalable software platforms for teams within global partnership tools, ensuring that all technical solutions are designed in a way which adhere to the best software engineering practices at Google. • Collaborate with product to enhance tools and create applications using standard and Google-specific software development tools, looking to deploy AI within our tools portfolio wherever possible. • Write technical documents, including design, development, revision documents and review code in compiled or scripted languages. • Analyze, review, and modify programs to increase operating efficiency or meet new requirements as well as execute testing, debugging, maintenance and/or program updates. • Thrive in an agile environment, quickly prototype solutions, and operate with ambiguous requirements.
Qualifications:
Required: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math or related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience in software development. • 4 years of experience in full-stack software development and system design. • Experience with backend languages (e.g. Java, Python, or C++). • Experience with front end languages (e.g. JavaScript or TypeScript). • Experience working with database technologies (e.g. SQL, NoSQL).
Preferred: • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • 4 years of experience designing and optimizing databases and distributed applications. • 4 years of experience with cloud, containerized, or microservice architectures. • 2 years of experience with AI technologies. • 2 years of experience collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders on project requirements.
