Overview
- A fast-growing Series-D semiconductor startup is seeking a Senior Algorithm Engineer with strong expertise in Error Correction Codes (ECC) for high-speed optical communication systems (800G/1600G). This role is part of an advanced R&D team developing next-gen coherent optical transceivers for cloud and AI infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and simulate ECC architectures and algorithms
- Integrate ECC modules with modem simulations
- Work with digital, firmware, and system teams on implementation
- Support bring-up, debugging, and lab validation of algorithms
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in ECC algorithm development
- Strong skills in MATLAB and C (fixed-point design)
- Solid understanding of system/hardware constraints (MATLAB to RTL)
- Hands-on lab experience in algorithm tuning and debugging
- H1-B sponsorship available
