Assistant TilerPosition Summary
The Assistant Tiler supports qualified tilers in the preparation, installation, and finishing of wall and floor tiles for residential, commercial, and renovation projects. This role involves assisting with site preparation, material handling, tile cutting, grouting, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.Key Responsibilities

• Assist tilers with measuring, marking, and preparing surfaces for tiling.
• Transport, load, and unload tiles, tools, adhesives, and other materials.
• Mix adhesives, grout, and other tiling compounds as directed.
• Cut and shape tiles using hand and power tools.
• Help lay tiles on walls, floors, and other surfaces according to specifications.
• Clean excess adhesive and grout from tiled surfaces.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety requirements.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and work effectively as part of a team.

Skills and Qualifications

• Previous construction or tiling experience preferred but not essential.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.
• Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when required.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety practices.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed on construction sites, residential homes, and commercial properties.
• Requires standing, bending, lifting, and carrying materials throughout the day.
• May involve working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Pay: $24.00 – $30.00 per hourBenefits:
