Job Summary: HCA Healthcare is an organization that prioritizes its team members and is currently seeking an AVP Data Science. This leadership role is responsible for driving data-driven initiatives across HR, providing strategic direction and implementing impactful data science solutions aligned with organizational priorities.
Responsibilities: • Provide strategic direction and leadership for both business analytics and advanced analytics functions within HR. • Ensure timely, accurate, and scalable insights to support business operations and growth. • Prioritize high-impact use cases based on ROI and organizational value. • Translate business priorities into data-driven solutions and performance metrics. • Partner with senior leadership to influence decision-making through insights. • Lead the development and implementation of data science solutions to address key HR challenges and opportunities. • Enable ongoing forecasting and predictive modeling capabilities. • Drive demand-supply analytics to optimize workforce planning. • Identify and implement operational improvements through data analysis. • Oversee retention studies to understand and mitigate employee turnover. • Explore and implement AI opportunities, such as virtual agents and job recommender systems. • Lead a team of data scientists and analysts, providing mentorship and guidance. • Develop and execute a data science roadmap aligned with HRG's strategic objectives. • Collaborate with HR stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into data science solutions. • Design, develop, and deploy predictive models and analytical tools. • Conduct statistical analysis and data mining to identify trends and insights. • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. • Ensure data quality and integrity across all HR data sources. • Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in data science and AI. • Manage budget and resources effectively. • Evaluate and select appropriate data science tools and technologies.
Qualifications:
Required: • Minimum of 10 years of experience in data science or analytics. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role. • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful data science solutions. • Master's degree or PhD in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. • Proficiency in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data mining. • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). • Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, R). • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Preferred: • Experience in HR analytics is highly preferred. • Relevant certifications in data science or related fields are a plus.
