1. Job Purpose We are seeking a skilled
Commissioning Engineer to lead and execute the end-to-end Testing & Commissioning (T&C) process for mechanical, electrical, BMS, and specialist systems on a high-profile project in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures that systems are installed and commissioned in line with design intent, code compliance, and client performance expectations prior to handover.

3. Key Responsibilities - Participate in design and constructability reviews to embed commissioning logic early in the project lifecycle.
- Develop comprehensive commissioning strategies, execution plans, and detailed test scripts in line with project specifications, industry codes, and standards.
- Perform inspections, pre-functional checks (L1-L2), functional performance tests (L3-L4), and verify system readiness for integrated testing (L5).
- Analyse system trend data and test results to identify issues, implement corrective actions, and maintain schedule integrity.
- Collaborate with design engineers, OEM vendors, and equipment suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Coordinate the timely delivery, installation, and start-up of systems and equipment to meet project milestones.
- Attend commissioning meetings and align daily commissioning activities with QA/QC, construction, and project controls teams.
- Compile and submit commissioning documentation, including test reports, punch lists, and performance recommendations for consultant/client review.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
- Undertake any additional duties reasonably required by management, aligned with the role and project needs.
4. Skills & Competencies Essential - Strong working knowledge of MEP systems, commissioning processes, and local/international standards.
- Ability to read technical drawings and prepare commissioning documentation and procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical thinker with a hands-on, solution-driven approach.
- Commitment to health, safety, and quality in all activities.
Desirable - Experience using Primavera, MS Project, BIM 360, or data logging tools.
- Familiarity with integrated systems and automation commissioning.
5. Qualifications & Experience - Degree or qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of commissioning experience in building services, MEP, or infrastructure projects.
- International project experience or Middle East exposure is an advantage, but not essential.
